11. Solero
Granted the Solero tastes good and is rather inoffensive. But let’s face it, we’re not really sure if it’s a sorbet or an ice-cream. It does the job but if you think about it, it’s basically just a super split with notions of itself.
10. Calippo
Oh how the Calippo takes us back to childhood holidays on the continent. The ultimate thirst quencher. Cola, Orange, Lemon and Lime, with always a bit melted at the end to drink for that final sugar kick. Not really an ice-cream but a frozen delight nonetheless. The Calippo loses a few points for the fact that your poor little frozen fingertips usually cause spillages and you rarely walk away from this bad boy without a stain on your best white T.

9. Feast
The Feast is really a feast for the chocolate lovers among us. A wild idea putting a whole chocolate bar into ice-cream format but sadly our gang of connoisseurs docked the Feast some points due to its particular chocolate flavour. They’re a fussy lot in here.
8. Cornetto
So hard to say it without bursting into song ... just one cornetto! The Cornetto is like the good guy of all ice-cream treats, not too healthy to be boring, not to be bad to feel naughty. Just the right mix of dairy and nuts which are good fats! Who are we trying to kid
7. Mars Ice-Cream
A Mars a day makes you work, rest and play. Or was that an apple? Who cares! You gotta hand it to Mars for their innovative approach to winning the summer market. Hats off to them for leading the way for all our favourite chocolate brands to follow.
6. Ice Berger
Is it a sandwich, is it a bar, is it ice-cream? It’s all of the above and so much more! Don’t be fooled by it’s somewhat vanilla (no pun intended) appearance. Once unwrapped this noble piece of sandwich creaminess allows consumption with your fingers whilst keeping them clean. Ice Berger, we salute you.
5. Magnum
The ooh la la of ice-cream. A little bit posh with its luxury packaging, we can’t deny it’s smooth appeal. Whether it’s double caramel, cookies and cream, almond, or even chocolate vanilla you’re after, the Magnum range won’t disappoint. Well except for the fact that it is a little over-priced and is it just us, or are they getting smaller?
4. Brunch
At the heart of a Brunch is raspberry or strawberry ice-cream, we can’t be sure. But it’s what’s on the outside that really matters, right? Coloured biscuit sprinkles that allow you nibble away to your heart’s content. You could literally sit in silence for at least 30 minutes with this creation.
3. Loop the Loop
Another childhood classic in the ice-cream market. If you grew up on these, you probably haven’t grown out of them. Between the chocolate, the lime ice and whatever mixture the yellow part is, the Loop the Loop ticks all the boxes.
2. Tangle Twister
This is a masterpiece in the ice-cream world. Doesn’t need any explaining, just call it Twister. Refreshingly ice-creamy this is a twist of sunshine delight combining pear (we know!), vanilla ice-cream and something pink. It’s our office go too on a sunny day. We bow to its greatness.
1. The 99
Synonymous with the ice-cream van, when you hear it coming the automatic reflex is to reach for mammy’s purse. The 99, so simple yet so effective. A cone, soft vanilla ice-cream and a Cadbury flake. And if you’re looking for an extra kick you’ll lavish it with strawberry or raspberry syrup, and perhaps some sprinkles. Sure why not, when you’re out you’re out!
